Burr Buddy
Background
At home coffee brewing can be a complex hobby. Ranging from the easy drip coffee to advanced manual espresso or french pressing. Lots of varying data points needed can get mixed up and/or forgotten. Through a convenient platform, processes and metrics could be documented to ease the overall craft of coffee.
Problem
There isn't an easy utility available for coffee which establishes a perceived “boundary to entry” created through complex coffee concepts. The goal is to create a utility application that offers value for both beginner and advanced coffee enthusiasts
Process
Researched common pain points and desired information from the audience as well as my own struggles. Through studying various data points and metrics involved in the processes, a degree of precision was outlined for this project.
Results
Users can easily document and reference their desired information for brewing their favorite coffees. While this project is currently in its early stage, the initial beta testing and soft launch has yielded great results and input. The growth possibilities and direction for this project has the potential for taking this project farther than I had initially envisioned
